Cruise Day - Liberty of the Seas

The impressively large Liberty of the Seas

The impressively large Liberty of the Seas

Imagine you are 6 years old, it's Christmas Eve and you've been a good boy/girl or however you wish to identify yourself (is Santa taking into consideration the new age in gender identification?) Anyway you are all excited about the next morning. This is me pre embarkation!  All giddy with excitement and anticipation. Meeting new people, seeing new places. (This analogy breaks down for those families who don't celebrate Christmas or who celebrate Christmas differently).

Today I head off to the Liberty of the Seaswhich I thought was one of the older ships in the Royal Caribbean Fleet. But with the old wiki available I learnt that it is actually only 10 years old, and was refurbished just last year in February. At the time of her launch she was one of the biggest passenger ships in the world, today she is number 10. This will make her the 2nd biggest ship I have sailed on.

This trip is 1 week around the Gulf of Mexico, the itinerary is:

  • Galveston πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
  • Cruising πŸ›³
  • Cruising πŸ›³
  • Roatan πŸ‡πŸ‡³
  • Costa Maya πŸ‡²πŸ‡½
  • Cozumel πŸ‡²πŸ‡½
  • Cruising πŸ›³
  • Galveston πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Cocktails at the pool bar anyone?
